AVCS Eagles Sports Programs Antelope Valley Christian School encourages all students to participate in athletic activities as it aides in developing a well rounded individual with skills in leadership, teamwork, initiative, competition, endurance, and good judgment. The purpose of athletics at AVCS is to promote the physical, mental, moral, social, and emotional well-being of the team's individual players. The athletic staff is committed to the emphasis of proper ideals of sportsmanship, ethical conduct, spiritual development, and fair play. An interscholastic sports program is available to all students registered in grades 7-12 at AVCS. All other grades have intramural sports and physical education on campus. AVCS Junior High athletes compete with teams from area schools in volleyball, basketball, coed softball, and soccer. AVCS is a member of the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (C.I.F.)Senior High girls have the opportunity to participate in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Senior High boys may participate in C.I.F. football, basketball and baseball. AVCS student athletes have already won several individual All C.I.F. and All League awards as well as repeated trips to the post season playoffs. Antelope Valley Christian School has also captured the C.I.F. Southern Section Small School's Football Championship with undefeated, 13-0, seasons in 1990 and 1995. Antelope Valley Christian School had a 25-2 Varsity boys Basketball season in 1996 and played in the State playoffs. The AVCS Athletics Program Staff:
