This home stay/dorm program is a short term Summer/Winter camp program of ESL, academics and field trips to Southern California points of interest such as Disneyland, Universal Studios, a professional sports event, horseback riding, swimming, roller skating, or visits to local government offices.

Students arriving for the two, three, or four week A.C.E. Camps are assigned to regular classrooms according to their grade level. International students have the opportunity to interact with American students who may participate in the field trips as well as in classes.

Students who join our Summer program will attend Summer School classes with American students. A.C.E. students also attend a separate ESL class where they learn about American culture and traditions, including holidays and customs.

Home stay families or Dorm Parents may take the students on local trips in addition to the scheduled events. Many students have enjoyed their short visit to AVCS and quickly return to attend the full-time academic programs. Many of our international students have graduated from AVCS and gone on to attend American universities such as Baylor, Purdue, UCLA, NYU and other prestigious schools.

Home stay families or Residential Center Coordinators may also take the students on local trips in addition to other scheduled events. Many students have enjoyed their short visit to AVCS and quickly return to attend the full-time academic programs. Many international students have graduated from AVCS and go on to attend American universities such as Baylor, Purdue, UCLA, and other prestigious schools.

Cost for the program includes home stay/dorm, ESL classes, excursion fees, school lunches, medical insurance, camp T-shirt, airport transportation (pickup and return) and one chaperone fee for every 15 students.
