Antelope Valley Christian School was founded in 1987 by Dr. and Mrs. David L Ralph. The Ralphs saw a need in their hometown for a non denominational Christian school open to all students and families and focused on academic excellence and Christian truth. For 18 years the Ralphs led the administration of AVCS, establishing a reputation for strong academic success and life transforming Christian witness.

AVCS opened its doors in the facilities of First Assembly of God, Lancaster. Within the first year, the Ralphs were able to obtain property and begin preparation of a campus at 37th and L West in Lancaster. Over the next few years the campus and the student body continued to grow steadily expanding its outreach and influence in the community.

In 2006, due to health concerns, the Ralphs retired from active participation in the school and passed the baton of ministry to First Assembly of God Church in Lancaster, inviting the church to pass the baton on to the next generation and continue to influence young people for Christ.

Antelope Valley Christian School remains an independent corporation and a non denominational Christian School, administered by a School Board, Executive Director and Heads of Schools
