In keeping with our mission and purpose statement AVCS believes all students should develop skills and interests in ministry and citizenship. All students, grades 7-12 are required to complete 24 hours of Community Service each academic year. Completion of hours is required for promotion to the next grade and for graduation.

Community Service is defined as volunteer work done for the benefit of non-profit organizations or needy individuals. Medical, political, social, or faith based non-profit organizations are included. At least 8 hours must be done for a ministry, 8 hours for the Community, and 8 hours for the school. At least 6 hours should be completed each quarter.

A form is available in the office or from the student’s Bible teacher Service should be approved (in writing on the CS form) before begun and turned in within two weeks of completion of service.
