Karen HesterI’m Karen Hester, the principal of the AVCS High School.

It is an honor to be a part of the Antelope Valley Christian High School team! We have a passion for High School students. We desire to work together with the parents to accomplish academic and spiritual success as they live God-honoring lives. AVCS provides the opportunity for academic excellence in a supportive environment.

We challenge young people to explore new ideas, build analytical thinking skills and develop a foundation of faith for a lifetime. Students have a unique opportunity to study in a small, close-knit community with young people from around the world. Our international boarding program includes students from across the globe. This enhances the classroom with a breadth of cultural and social backgrounds.

AVCS offers all students a rigorous course study, preparing them for University studies. Over the last six years, 98% of our graduates have been accepted into a four-year University. Many are making their mark in top ranked schools, continuing in a path of integrity and academic discipline established here at AVCS.

We offer a fully accredited, UC Approved curriculum in which every student graduates with coursework required for University admission. AP courses are available in several subject areas. We also encourage students to be involved in all aspects of school activities such as sports, community service, fine arts, technology, leadership and clubs in order to develop their talents and interests.

We believe High School students are ready to undertake rigorous coursework with individual guidance from a supportive faculty and administration. After-school tutoring programs allow every student to receive the individual assistance they need. Academic counselors ensure students have the guidance needed for academic planning and college admission.

We accept students of all faiths and backgrounds who are interested in pursuing a College Preparatory HS diploma in a Christian environment. We hope you will find AVCS a place where your student and family will thrive. We hope you will come and be a part of the AVCS family!

In Christian service,

Karen Hester
